A new HTC smartphone is expected to arrive on shelves in the near future with Beats Audio inside, namely the HTC Runnymede, which was previously spotted into the wild as the HTC Bass, and which can be seen in the video embedded at the bottom of this article.

The mobile phone is expected to arrive on shelves in the near future, and will almost certainly be released in the UK on the airwaves of Vodafone UK, since the carrier's logo can be seen on the homescreen of Runnymede in the video below.

The video does not offer info on the new device, but it does offer enthusiasts the possibility to have a look at the phone's body, which certainly looks quite appealing.

Rumor has it that the handset should be launched with a large 4.7-inch touchscreen display, one that can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Moreover, it should include a 1.5GHz MSM8255 Snapdragon application processor, a single-core CPU that was packed inside the HTC Flyer as well.

It will also include 768MB of RAM, as well as 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for additional storage space.

On the back, the new mobile phone will include an 8-megapixel photo snapper, with dual flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a 1.3MP camera on the front, with support for video calling.

The new device is reportedly based on Google's Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system and sports the Sense 3.5 UI on top.

It will also pack WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity when released, as well as DLNA capabilities, 3G connectivity, GPS receiver, the usual set of sensors, and the like.

The mobile phone will also include Beats Audio, the same as the HTC Sensation XE that went official a few weeks ago does. Have a look at the video below for a closer view of the phone's homescreen.
