One day after its official launch at Verizon Wireless, major retailer Amazon slashes $100 off HTC Rezound's price.

Customers willing to commit to a long term contract can now purchase the Rezound for just $200 (150 EUR) via Amazon Wireless.

In addition, Verizon Wireless subscribers who are eligible for upgrade can grab the HTC Rezound for $230 (170 EUR), which is still better than the carrier's deals.

The Rezound is the result of the collaboration between HTC and Dr. Dre's Beats Audio company. In this regard, expect the phone to be delivered with exceptional audio technology and iBeats headset.

Aimed at Android fans who use their smartphones mostly for entertainment, the HTC Rezound provides a powerful experience with astonishing audio and multimedia capabilities.

Although the phone is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread, HTC Rezound is among the first wave of HTC devices that are confirmed to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in Q1 2012.

In addition, the Rezound comes with the latest HTC Sense 3.5 user interface, which provides users with a wide range of customization options that can turn the phone into a social network and information hub.

Basically, users will be able to see all the info they need on the phone's lockscreen, including social updates, photos, weather, or stock updates.

HTC Rezound provides the power punch needed for a smooth Internet browsing, multitasking and gaming experiences, thanks to its 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM 8660 Snapdragon CPU, which is complemented by an Adreno 220 graphics processing unit.

Furthermore, the superphone packs 16 GB of internal memory, 1 GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32 GB, 16 GB memory card included).

The LTE-enabled device will probably be available for much less in the future, but the current deal offered by Amazon Wireless is the best in the market.
