Today, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has made its HTC One mini smartphone official in India and the Philippines.

The mobile phone is set to become available for purchase in both countries in the coming week, featuring a price tag of Rs. 36,790 ($602 / €443) in India and Peso 25,390 ($590 / €435) in the Philippines.

As AndroidOS notes, the price of this device appears to be too high compared to what users might have expected. This could result in a weak sales performance of the device, that’s for sure.

“We are proud to be behind the market’s leading smartphone and now, with the addition of the HTC One mini, the best smartphone family in the world.” said Faisal Siddiqui, country head, HTC India.

“The HTC One mini embodies everything that makes the HTC One a success on a smaller but equally eye-catching scale.”

HTC One mini arrives on the market with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution, and is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

The mobile phone also features 1GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB of internal memory, and an 1800 mAh battery.

The specs list of this device also includes an UltraPixel camera on the back, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, as well as a 1.6MP camera on the front, great for making video calls while on the go.

HTC One mini runs under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and arrives on shelves with HTC’s Sense 5.0 user interface loaded on top. You can learn more on what it has to offer through the promo video embedded below.

In addition to HTC One and One mini, users around the world should soon be able to purchase a certain One max handset, which has been long rumored to arrive with a 5.9-inch screen, and which has been teased by HTC themselves recently.
