The cheapest smartphone from the HTC One family, the One V has just made its debut at U.S. Cellular. Customers can now purchase the phone for as low as $129.99 USD after a $100 USD mail-in rebate and with a new two-year agreement.

There are no details on the no-term price, but the carrier mentions that additional terms, conditions and charges may apply.

Made official back in February at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, HTC One V hit shelves in April in Europe. The smartphone was recently introduced in North America through a slew of carriers and leading retailers.

It appears that the U.S. Cellular’s version of HTC One V does not come with anything new in terms of software or hardware in comparison with the standard version, so expect the former to be powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform integrated with HTC Sense 4.0 UI.

In addition, the phone sports a decent 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

Although the One V is not among the powerful Android smartphones available on the market, the 1 GHz single-core processor is just enough to offer a smooth Ice Cream Sandwich experience.

On the inside, the phone packs only 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The HTC One V also features an enhanced 5-megapixel camera that provides zero shutter delay for faster image capture, continuous shooting, autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording.

This phone is great for people who want to simplify and organize their life using one device. The high-end camera and premium audio features make it easy to leave your other gadgets at home while on-the-go,” said Edward Perez, vice president of sales and marketing operations for U.S. Cellular.
