14 DAY TRIAL // HTC already launched its entire One series of smartphones in Europe, but some of the devices have yet to make their debut in some regions.
Canadian customers can purchase the HTC One X via Rogers, but two additional One series smartphone are expected to hit shelves in the country.
It appears that HTC One S and One V will be released by TELUS sometime in May. According to the latest hearsay, the former is expected to hit shelves on May 17, while the latter should arrive on May 3.
However, these are only approximate release dates, as the carrier has yet to officially announce the launch of the smartphones.
The folks over at MobileSyrup also claim that the HTC One V will be available for around $300 CAD, whereas the One S will be priced consistently higher at $600 CAD outright.
Furthermore, it looks like both smartphone have been introduced on TELUS business support site, which indicates that the carrier is close to launching the HTC One devices pretty soon.
Although both handsets will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, the HTC One S is clearly the superior device.
The One S boasts a vibrant 4.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (540 x 960 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass coating, while the One V sports a much smaller, but still decent, 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
It is also worth mentioning HTC One S is equipped with a powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon processor, whereas the One V packs an inferior 1 Ghz single-core Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon CPU.
Unlike their bigger brother, the HTC One X, none of these two features LTE support, instead they will offer users HSDPA and HSPA connectivity.
On a side note, HTC One S has also been confirmed by Virgin Mobile, while the One V will also be released by Bell Canada as well.
