Taiwan mobile phone maker HTC is expected to soon launch on the market yet another handset based on Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system, one that hasn't been unveiled officially until now, the HTC Leo. The mobile phone has been around us for quite a few months now, with different rumors regarding its capabilities and possible launch-time frame cycling around, including one that says it should reach the market as HTC Pro Three, yet we're still waiting for the official announcement to learn what it will be named, when it will be released and how much it will cost.

In the meantime, we can still enjoy the new series of photos with the HTC Leo that recently emerged into the wild, adding to the rest of the images that we had the pleasure of spotting. Especially when considering the fact that Leo should hit the market with a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, which is also expected to feature multi-touch support. The large display will also deliver the TouchFLO 3D (Manila 2.5) user interface from HTC, and the video below can show a little more on how the Windows Mobile operating system and the UI look like on the HTC Leo.

The specification list of the upcoming handset also includes a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and video-recording capabilities, as well as a fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which is coupled with 320MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. On the connectivity side, we can count Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and HSDPA, and users will also enjoy a 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as a built-in GPS receiver that comes with A-GPS support.

Other specs that should come along with this 121 x 67 x 11 mm device include a 1230 mAh battery, along with a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space. On the feature side, users should have the opportunity to enjoy all the goodies brought to them by the TouchFLO 3D UI, as well as social-network integration, new icon designs, and the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. While awaiting for more details on the availability and pricing of HTC Leo, take a look at the photos and the video that ai.rs has recently published on its site with the probably first Windows phone to boast a capacitive touchscreen.
