Google's Android 2.1 (Éclair) operating system emerged quite a few times during the past days, especially on a series of new mobile phones launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and now it makes another appearance, coupled with the HTC Sense solution, on leaked specs of HTC Legend. The handsets made it to the headlines a few times before, and now a new image with it is available, along with what appears to be its full hardware specifications.

What the HTC Legend is said to sport when landing on the market includes a 600 MHz processor, coupled with 512 MB of ROM and 384 MB of RAM, and that OS flavor with the Sense solution from the Taiwan-based handset vendor. A 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display that boasts a 320 x 480 pixel (HVGA) resolution and a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and flash will also be included in the package, it seems.

At the same time, the HTC Legend is expected to come with a wide range of connectivity options, including support for HSPA/WCDMA (Europe/Asia) 900/2100 MHz and Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequencies, and Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g) and Micro-USB connectivity, not to mention a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and a built-in GPS receiver.

Other specifications of the mobile phone include an optical trackball, G-Sensor, Digital compass, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, support for .aac, .amr, .ogg, .m4a, .mid, .mp3, .wav, .wma audio files and .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .wmv video files, a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, and a 1300 mAh Lithium-ion battery that should deliver up to 490 minutes of talk time or up to 440 hours of standby time. The phone measures 112 x 56.3 x 11.5 mm (4.41 x 2.22 x 0.45 inches) and weighs in at 126 grams (4.44 ounces) with battery.

According to the guys over at modaco, who brought the specs on HTC Legend to light, the handset should also come with a special feature, Friend Stream. Unfortunately, there are no details on when the phone might land on the market, though HTC is expected to announce it in the very near future.
