14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone carrier Bell Canada has just made available for purchase a new highly appealing mobile phone running under Google's Android operating system, namely the HTC Incredible S.
Officially introduced during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, in February, the new device is the successor of HTC's last year DROID Incredible, which arrived on shelves in the United States at Verizon Wireless.
The mobile phone was already launched in several markets around the world, and is also expected to hit the US market at Verizon under the name of Incredible 2.
At Bell, the new smartphone is available for purchase for $99.95 upon the signing of a three-year contract with the wireless carrier.
Users can also opt for 2-year contracts, with the device priced at $449.95, for one-year terms, with the handset available for $474.95, or could purchase it free of contract, while having to pay 499.95 for it.
“With its stunning 4" Super LCD screen, the Android-powered HTC Incredible S brings your photos and videos to life,” Bell notes on its website.
“Plus, you can plug in your headphones and enjoy virtual HD surround sound. The Incredible S also offers an 8-megapixel camera and high definition video recorder that will capture and replay your experiences in crystal clear clarity.”
The specifications list of HTC Incredible S would include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, HSPA 850/1900/2100, Mobile hotspot (connect up to 8 devices), Micro USB connector, DLNA (home media streaming) or GPS receiver.
Moreover, it comes with 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, 1.1 GB of internal memory, 768 MB of RAM, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.
The mobile phone is based on Google's Android 2.2 Froyo OS, on top of which HTC loaded its own user interface.
