A few weeks ago, the Windows Phone 7-based HTC HD7 smartphone became available for purchase in Australia via Telstra, and the device is already available with a special offering attached to it.

Mobile phone users in the country who would purchase the new Windows Phone 7 handset have the possibility to choose either two free Xbox games or 3000 Xbox Live points when making the acquisition.

This is a limited offer. It would run from April 8th to May 31st, or would end as soon as 5,000 HD7 users purchase the device, whichever comes first.

Users who would make the purchase and would benefit from the promotion would have until June 6th to redeem their prizes. The redemption offer should be activated on April 13th, it seems.

For the time being, no specific info on the games that are being offered as prize emerged, though rumor has it that the Halo Reach and Kinect Joy Ride might be included into the mix, since they appear on the promo poster.

The offer seems very appealing, especially since the HD 7 is a great device on its own.

The smartophone arrives on shelves with a 4.3 inch high-resolution touchscreen display, and a 1GHz application processor inside.

It also includes a 5.0 megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto focus, LED flash, and 720p HD video recording capabilities.

3G support was included into the mix too, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, GPS receiver, and HTC Surround Sound, for a great multimedia experience on the go.

At Telstra, the device is available for purchase on the company's $59 Freedom Connect Plan for $17 per month, upon the signing of a contract for 24 months (with $550 worth of eligible calls, unlimited standard national text and 1.5GB of data to use in Australia).

More info on the new deal can be found here. HD7 users would be able to redeem their prizes from that page as well, starting with 13th April, as stated above.
