Taiwanese handset manufacturer HTC has recently announced the European launch of the EVO 3D Android-based smartphone.

The phone will be released gradually within the European countries in July, but no specific dates were specified in the official announcement.

In this regard, it appears that a certain HTC PG86300, also known as HTC EVO 3D, has just passed FCC's (Federal Communications Commission) regulations and it looks like the device supports GSM bands 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz for EDGE and 1700 / 2100 MHz for 3G.

This probably means that the smartphone will soon be picked by GSM carriers in the United States and Canada, as the European version does not require approval from the FCC.

Besides the inclusion of the new GSM bands, this version of EVO 3D features several cosmetic changes, which are to be expected if the upcoming device will be carrier branded.

However, the rest of the specs seem to be the same, so potential customers who live in Canada or prefer GSM handsets will be able to pick the EVO 3D in the next couple of weeks.

The HTC EVO 3D was recently introduced in the United States via Sprint for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement.

The phone comes with a large 4.3-inch 3D S-LCD capacitive multi-touch screen with 16 million colors support and 540 x 960 pixels resolution, which doesn't require additional glasses to watch 3D content.

It comes with the latest version of Android called Gingerbread, HTC Sense user experience, as well as full integration with Google mobile apps like Maps with Navigation, Voice Actions, Gmail and more.

Furthermore, the smartphone is preloaded with 3D content, such as “The Green Hornet 3D” via the HTC Watch movie application.

In addition, “The Gameloft Storefront” is also bundled within the phone's software and offers access to 3D game titles, including Spider-Man: Total Mayhem 3D.
