Taiwanese-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation and wireless carrier CSL Limited have announced the release of HTC Desire HD on the Hong Kong market, exclusively on the operator's airwaves.

The new smartphone is the latest flagship Android-based device HTC brought to the market, now available for users in Hong Kong too.

Moreover, the new high-end mobile phone is being brought to the local market with the new Htc Sense solution from HTC, as well as with support for the new HTCSense.com portal the mobile phone maker put in place for its devices.

“The support of our customer and partners inspires us to innovate and drive the user experience to a whole new level and HTCSense.com is a great example of this,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation.

“HTCSense.com, and the new HTC Sense user experience comprise a holistic approach we’re taking to enhancing the experience our customers have on our phones.”

The specifications list of the new HTC Desire HD includes the new 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor, complemented by a 4.3-inch super LCD touchscreen display.

At the same time, the handset comes with Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual sound, with an 8-megapixel photo snapper with 720p HD video recording capabilities, or dual-flash.

Moreover, the same as the previously released HTC Legend, the new HTC Desire HD comes to the market with a unibody design, being sculpted from a single block of solid aluminium.

“CSL has a long track record of working with HTC to bring irresistible offers for our mutual customers,” said Mark Liversidge, Chief Marketing Officer, CSL Limited.

“We are proud to be the exclusive launch partner of the HTC Desire HD in Hong Kong through our one2free and 1O1O brands. This collaboration gives local customers access to a superb device, an outstanding Android experience, and the unrivalled network coverage of CSL.”

The new HTCSense.com service from HTC offers users the possibility to manage their mobile phone experience either from the handset, or from a desktop PC. The portal offers downloadable content, as well as various management tools for the device.
