In February this year, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced the launch of two unique Android-based mobile phones which offered fast access to the popular social networking site Facebook, the HTC ChaCha and Salsa, and it seems that the former is on its way AT&T's network in the US.

The mobile phone has been spotted at the FCC with support for AT&T's airwaves, and a photo showing the AT&T logo on its front also emerged into the wild.

Beside offering support for the wireless carrier's 3G network, the HTC ChaCha comes with the same features as the original.

The same as the mobile phone launched in February during the Mobile World Congress, AT&T's ChaCha comes with a QWERTY keyboard to complement the touchscreen display HTC packed it with.

Moreover, it sports a Facebook that offers fast access to uploading photos or videos on the social networking site, or to change statuses and the like.

The HTC ChaCha is a Facebook phone, as HTC themselves called it four months ago when launching it, but also comes with all features that Android phones include.

The smartphone will include an 800 MHz application processor when made available for purchase, as well as a 2.6-inch touchscreen display complemented by the said QWERTY keyboard.

On the back, the handset would sport a 5 megapixel photo snapper, complemented by a 0.3 mexapixel camera on the front.

The HTC ChaCha runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, with the HTC Sense user interface loaded on top of it.

It should include support for 3G connectivity, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, but there will be no HSPA+ supported added into the mix, it seems.

For the time being, no specific info on when might the new device become available for purchase emerged, nor did info on the price tag it might feature when released. Until more on it is unveiled, have a look at the photo available courtesy of Pocketnow.
