The smartphone runs under Windows Mobile and sports CDMA connectivity

One HTC device that surfaced a while ago on the Web was HTC Cedar, a mobile phone that leaked along with HTC's entire lineup for 2009, and that was reported to come to the offering of different carriers in the US. The handset has been spotted now at FCC, although the details on it seem to be rather scarce.

The FCC filing is quite vague, only showing a new HTC CEDA200 smartphone, which is supposedly featuring the CDMA connectivity, as well as Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system. For what it's worth, although nothing specific can be spotted in the FCC filing, this might, indeed, be the HTC Cedar we learned about previously, which is expected to come to Verizon as XV6175, as well as to Sprint, where it should be named Willow.

HTC has asked FCC to keep silent as to the new device until July 30th, which means that we won't be able to get any internal or external photos, test setup images, or user manuals until that date. This, once again, suggests that the device in question would be Cedar, which was rumored before to be getting ready for a second-quarter launch. For the time being, there are no exact details on whether the product is actually the HTC Cedar, but a CMDA handset that should also include other goodies is certainly coming our way.

HTC might, indeed, prepare itself to come to the market with a series of nice and interesting devices after all. We've already showed you the latest leaks for its roadmap, and there were some interesting products that could be seen. One thing that we haven't spotted there is an Android-powered mobile phone, as the company has already announced plans to unveil such a device during the ongoing year, which means that there are some surprises to come in the future from the Taiwanese company.
