Spotted in the wild several weeks ago, HTC Amaze 4G is about to make its debut in Canada via TELUS.

Also known as HTC Ruby, the smartphone is also expected to hit shelves at T-Mobile USA in the next few weeks.

HTC Amaze 4G is now listed on the Canadian carrier's “Coming Soon” webpage, but no details about its release date or price tag have been revealed yet.

Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Amaze 4G are the only TELUS 4G-enabled smartphones capable of reaching peak download speeds of 42 Mbps.

Aside 4G capabilities, the Amaze 4G offers users some of the best features embedded into an Android smartphone to date.

The device comes with a brilliant 4.3-inch qHD Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors and 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

It runs Google's latest Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system, along with HTC's Sense 3.0 users interface layered on top.

Moreover, HTC Amaze 4G is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor, for blazing fast web browsing and multitasking.

The phone's 8-megapixel main camera on the back features autofocus, dual LED flash, along with face detection, SmartShot, BurstShot, SweepShot, and ClearShot.

Users can capture and share 1080p HD videos or make video calls with the secondary 2-megapixel front facing camera.

HTC Amaze 4G packs 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

According to TELUS, the phone will be delivered with a free 8GB memory card in the sales package.

Among the most interesting features of the superphone, one can notice NFC (Near Field Communication) support, TV-out port, active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, EDR support, Wi-Fi, and DLNA function.

The carrier also mentions that Amaze 4G fully supports Skype video calling capabilities.
