Telefonica has just confirmed the upcoming availability of the new HP Veer smartphone on the market in Germany via O2, and also unveiled specific info on the pricing of the device.

The new mobile phone would be released on monthly plans of €15 per month, with a total cost of €379 over 24 months, and would come with a Touchstone Energy Station included in the mix.

The mobile phone is already available for pre-order on the carrier's website here, for all those interested in its purchase.

The HP Veer was launched earlier this year, and is already put for sale in the United States, via wireless carrier AT&T.

The smartphone packs a powerful 800 MHz application processor inside, and runs under HP's webOS mobile operating system.

It can deliver increased performance levels, even if measuring only 84 x 54.5 x 15 mm and weighing in at 103 grams.

The Veer comes as the smaller successor of the Palm Pre, and sports the same form factor as the older smartphone, including the touchscreen display and the portrait sliding QWERTY keyboard.

It sports a 2.6-inch touch-sensitive multi-touch display that can deliver a 320 x 400 pixels resolution.

The handset comes with 8GB of internal memory, and with a 920 mAh battery inside, for extended usage time. On the back, the mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper, with video recording capabilities.

As stated above, the device is accompanied by the HP Touchstone Energy Station, through which users can charge it without the hassle of wires.

Powered by the webOS 2.0 operating system, the HP Veer also comes with support for a series of specific features, including Just type, HP Synergy syncing, and more.

According to the wireless carrier, the new mobile phone is expected to become available for purchase towards the end of June, but no specific info on when that might happen has emerged until now.
