It looks like HP is putting a lot of work into its announced and soon to come to the market webOS devices, TouchPad, Veer and Pre 3.

According to an official PowerPoint presentation received by the guys over at PreCentral, two new apps, HP Music Store and HP Movie Store, will be bundled with the upcoming HP TouchPad tablet.

Both apps are discussed on two of the presentation's slides, and confirm that the tablet will come with a built-in music syncing solution that utilizes cloud servers to sync and remotely store the user's music.

Furthermore, HP also describes that both solutions will use a “smart algorithm” that will make sure users have their favorite music cached locally on the tablet.

In addition, the manufacturer also states in the presentation that TouchPad users will also be allowed to stream music they don't necessarily own.

It seems that the cloud services are only compatible with HP webOS 3.0, but the company mentions that they will become available on other HP smartphones once they are updated to webOS 3.0.

Apparently, the new music solution was developed as soon as HP acquired the Seattle-based company Melodeo.

Melodeo was a music streaming company which allowed users to sync their iTunes library to cloud based servers then back to their smartphone or PC.

Although the new service has yet to be announced by HP, in a recent interview for Engadget, HP SVP of Applications and Services, Steven McArthur let slip the existence of the cloud-based music sync solution.

Even though HP does not have any previous experience with cloud-based solutions for mobile devices, it will certainly build upon Palm's partnership with Amazon for the Amazon MP3 Store, which was preloaded on the company's smartphones.

However, unlike Palm, HP will have more choices in their media partnerships, but also more multimedia content that can be fit into smartphones and tablets that come bundled with the Synergy feature.
