It was only days ago that a significant price cut was announced for the HP TouchPad tablet and, now, a future version of it, one with upgraded wireless connectivity support, has emerged as well.

HP''s TouchPad tablet may not have had the best of opening performances, but that does not mean its maker will give up on it any time soon.

Indeed, though reviews were not sparkling, HP actually did succeed in both updating the product and getting its price to accessible levels.

In fact, not along ago, it was discovered that the overall price cut for the TouchPad was of $120 compared to what it used to be.

Now, a certain online retailer has provided the user base with information on a certain, future version of this very slate.

As discovered by the folks over at Netbook News, Amazon has put up the TouchPad 4G on its website, complete with a price point, though it has yet to start selling.

The current price is $700 (32 GB), somewhat lower than what the Motorola XOOM (which is gong to get its own successor soon enough) used to demand at first but still quite a bit over most of today's tablets.

Then again, given how the existing TouchPad has been going down in price, it is not too great a stretch to assume it is only a matter of time before the 4G also gets more affordable.

For those that want a reminder, the product features a 9.7-inch LCD (liquid crystal display), a 1.2 GHz ARM CPU, Bluetooth, WiFi, 16 GB or 32 GB of NAND Flash storage space and all the expected I/O capabilities.

Finally, the resolution of the display is 1,024 x 768 pixels and the whole frame measures 9.45 x 7.48 x 0.54 inches (240 x 190 x 13.7 mm).
