Earlier today, AMD has introduced the Radeon HD 6770 and HD 6750 video cards into the retail channel and soon afterwards HIS has made official its two graphics solutions based on the rebranded HD 5700-series cards.

The two models are officially called the HIS 6770 Fan and the HIS 6750 Fan and both solutions feature 1GB of video buffer as well as custom designed coolers and AMD Eyefinity support.

Their specifications are identical with those set by AMD for the HD 6770 and HD 6750 as the former has its core clocked at 850MHz and the memory running at 1200MHz (4800MHz) while the latter comes clocked at 700MHz/1150MHz.

The video output configuration is also similar on the two models as they both pack HDMI and full size DisplayPort connectivity, but the HIS 6770 Fan features a pair of dual-link DVI-I ports while its smaller bother has to make do with just one such output.

AMD's Radeon HD 6700-series graphics cards are just a rebrand of the popular Juniper-based HD 5700 models with a few minor BIOS tweaks meant to enable HDMI 1.4a and Blu-ray 3D support.

All the tweaks were done in the BIOS, so it may be possible that older HD 5700 GPUs can be upgraded to support the new features via a simple BIOS update.

The Radeon HD 6770 features 800 stream processors, 40 texture units, 16 ROP units, a GPU clock of 850MHz and a 128-bit memory interface while the less powerful HD 6750 packs 720 stream processors, 36 texture units, 16 ROP units, a 700MHz GPU clock, and the same 128-bit interface.

Pricing hasn't been disclosed by HIS, but AMD stated that the Radeon HD 6700-series solutions should retail for about the same price as their Juniper counterparts.
