14 DAY TRIAL // A couple of weeks ago, Anonymous vowed to shut down the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay which is used to keep suspected terrorists and people involved with terrorist groups, and which has been very controversial.
More than half the inmates are now on hunger strike and there have been many reports criticizing the possibly illegal conditions there.
Anonymous urged the White House to do as it promised and begin the shutdown of the prison.
Now, in response to the perceived threat, officials at the prison compound have shut down the wireless network and closed off access to sites such as Facebook or Twitter.
Anonymous is labeling this as a success, in a way, since they did manage to disrupt operations there, if only in a small way. But Anonymous never actually threatened with a hack, all it did is protest about the conditions in the prison and urged others to add in their voice.
