All it takes is some old boxes, some glue, a steel frame and determination

Making your own hammock chair might seem a tad too complicated, yet the idea of taking some old cardboard boxes, some glue and a steel frame and turning them into a rather comfortable chair seems well within reach.

Do the Green Thing says that, in order to manufacture this environmentally-friendly chair, all you have to do is glue several layers of cardboard together, and then use bolts to attach them to a steel frame.

Needless to say, this home-made piece of furniture has virtually no ecological footprint, as it is made entirely by hand with the help of readily-available materials.

Later on, you can decorate the cardboard however you see fit and make it match the rest of your furniture.

Interestingly enough, these re-ply chairs can also rock you back and forth, all thanks to their innovative design.
