Hudson Entertainment, a subsidiary of Hudson Soft, has announced the release of a new mobile game meant to bring the most intense action on handsets everywhere. "Gravity Blast" brings several revolutionary features bound to glue the user to the small display screen of their mobile phone for a long time.

Making space wars captivating within the limits that handsets pose is not an easy thing. Hudson Entertainment took the old arcade game concept and polished it until it best suited mobile gameplay.

The player must face an alien invasion with an innovative new gravity drive. This special feature is what sets this game apart from the many other ones which ask for the player to face alien attacks. Destroying spaceships is different from what we know, when doing it in a new style.

The player can pilot his ship only with the help of the gravitational pull of nearby objects in space. In this style, he has to guide it through perilous encounters with wormholes, dark matter, space mines and asteroids. There are 30 levels of intense alien destroying action in the most intense way. The new Gravity Blast idea makes gameplay highly challenging, as space is a much more hostile environment to survive like this.

"The game has an initial simplicity that opens the door for players of all types, but is layered with depth that will appease more dedicated gamers", said John Lee, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hudson Entertainment. Moreover, he considers that "Mobile gaming fans are looking for new gaming experiences, not just sequel after sequel, and we are pleased to showcase a game like Gravity Blast".

"Gravity Blast" will be available from now on for all major BREW and Java handsets. Sounds great, as the number of people who will have the chance of enjoying this game proves to be quite large.
