The holidays edition of God of War will also include the God of War III demo. As part of an E3 exclusive presentation, the GoW III demo wasn't supposed to be given to the fans anytime soon, but it seems Sony gave in to the demands of the fans. The game will be part of the Collection as a voucher code that will allow proud owners to download the demo from PlayStation Network. This way, Sony can please the fans by giving them the God of War III demo and also increase the sales of the Collection edition. The demo will probably become available for free to the entire community later on as a standalone release on the PSN.

The collection edition is made up of God of War and God of War II, both remastered to accommodate the new features of the PS3. God of War III was brought up to date by Bluepoint Games and will make use of PS3's high-definition resolutions, anti-aliased graphics and Trophies. The God of War series is made up of, so far, four released games, God of War I and II for the PlayStation 2, God of War: Betrayal for mobile phones and God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PlayStation Portable.

The original God of War as well as the second iteration are hack and slash action games that were incredibly well received by fans and critics alike. The first one, released in 2005, received more Game of the Year awards and even the Olympian gods would have the patience to remember it. The game impressed with the harmony of the graphics, audio and gameplay, all amazing on their own and overwhelmingly beautiful put together.

God of War III is expected to come out in March 2010 and make as big an impact on the gaming community as the prequels did. The game will continue its PlayStation exclusivity as it will only be available for the PlayStation 3.
