Solution for Windows users to handle the media files on their iPhone

Glide has just announced that they will cut out the issue of the iPhone being incompatible with Windows Media and Audio files. From now on, it will be just as easy for those who don't regularly use the Mac operating system to handle their iPhone media files just as well as the others.

Glide has given a considerable thought to this concept for some time now, even before the iPhone had been launched. They have promised since spring that they were to bring out this possibility, although it has been ready for launch only now.

With the help of Glide Mobile, the iPhone's boundaries have greatly expanded, allowing a large number of additional video formats to be used on the device. Among them, there are the most important ones which Windows users store their media content on. iPhone owners too will have the chance from now on to use formats such as .wmv, .mpg, .mpeg, .avi, .divx, .mov, .mp4 and .3gp.

Among the audio files supported from now on, there are also included .wma .wav, .au, .mp3, .m4a, .aiff, .aac and .ac3. Moreover, the Glide Address Book makes it easy to access your Microsoft Outlook, Mac Address Book and Linux Thunderbird Contacts on the personal iPhone.

All supported formats include EDGE and Wi-Fi network versions. "The EDGE network is not ideal for the cutting edge iPhone", said TransMedia Chairman and CEO, Donald Leka. "Glide compensates by automatically providing lower and higher resolution versions of your video and audio files optimized for both EDGE and Wi-Fi access", he further added.

As if the 8GB on the best sold version of the iPhone weren't enough, Glide adds 2 more GB on the hard drive for those who use their service. An additional 10GBs of storage can be purchased for USD 50 of yearly fee, summing up a total of 12GBs.
