Outside of the A75 Fusion controller hub, AMD's FM1 chipset lineup also includes the A55 FCH, which targets budget Llano motherboards, and a recent leak has revealed the first pictures of two of Gigabyte's upcoming solutions based on this chipset.

The motherboards in question are the Gigabyte A55M-S2H and the A55M-S2V, both featuring pretty much the same specifications.

Starting with the more powerful option of the two, the A55M-S2H, this bears an eerie resemblance with the A75M-D2H, except for the lack of USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps support, as these features are unique to the A75 FCH.

Otherwise, the differences were kept to a minimum and the board still gets support for AMD dual graphics, RAID support, HDMI and DVI ports, six SATA ports, as well as a pair of PCI Express x16 slots, the second one working in an x4 mode.

Moving to the back of the board, we find that Gigabyte has included pretty much all we need in terms of connectivity, including six USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and an optical S/PDIF output.

Taking a look at the second Gigabyte A55m board, it becomes apparent that the Taiwanese company has kept pretty much the same layout for both of these solutions, even though the A75M-S2V lacks the second PCIe x16 slot as well as one power phase when compared with its older sibling.

The rear I/O connectors also remain mostly the same, so we get DVI and D-sub video outputs, six USB 2.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet.

No official information regarding the availability of the two boards, or their prices, has been released until now.

However, the Gigabyte A55M-S2H was listed by a New Zealand online retailer, which priced the motherboard at NZ$126.50 excluding GST (sales tax). This translates into about $105 US, but one has to keep in mind that New Zealand isn't the cheapest place to purchase computer components from. (via VR-Zone)
