One of the most anticipated real time strategy (RTS) titles has finally been launched to game shops across the globe, while a Collector's Edition can be purchased online from the official Sins of a Solar Empire website. So if you are a real time strategy fan and you'd like to try a game that combines the depth of turn based strategy titles with the real time element in a completely new kind of experience, you should give this one a try.

In Sins of a Solar Empire players take the role of the leader of one of the three available races, Humans, Vasari or Advent and strive for a total universe dominance. You will get the chance to either manage an entire stellar empire or zoom in on individual freighters and deliver cargo to distant trade ports. Also, when the AI controlled races will become nothing but a child's play for you, you will be able to hop over the Internet or LAN for some multiplayer games you will never forget.

Considered by its developer the birth of the RT4X genre, the game allows players to conquer worlds, engage in diplomacy and trade with other civilizations, and use the resources at their disposal to enhance their economy, develop new technology and increase military power. Everything just to get to the 3D tactical battlefield and fight against the powerful enemies - all in full, stunning 3D graphics.

Sins of a Solar Empire is indeed a very promising title, being described as "a successor to Homeworld" , "Kohan and Master of Orion 2 combined" or "Total Annihilation in space". So, if at least half of these descriptions are right, we do have a hit released by Stardock. The game is Vista compatible and it costs $39.95, while the Collector's Edition can be purchased for $49.95.
