Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston Kissing at the Golden Globes Party

At this year’s Annual Golden Globe Awards, one of the best looking couples on the red carpet was that formed by Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. Though the two are not “officially” dating, in the sense that they never confirmed being an item, they walked the red carpet together to promote their upcoming film. Backstage, though, was an entirely different story, PageSix writes.

An unnamed source says for the US tab that, while they only pretended to be very friendly for the cameras on the red carpet because they had to push “The Bounty Hunter,” backstage they put on a real public display of affection, but only after making sure no camera was around. Jennifer and Gerard were literally joined at the hip, spies say, stealing kisses whenever they could and running off to more isolated places so that they could be alone.

“After they presented, they were drinking Moet backstage. At one point, they were making out in the kitchen. They were attached at the hip all night. They definitely seemed very couple-y. Producers for the show were actually laughing about it over their walkie-talkies,” the unnamed but allegedly very reliable source reveals for the aforementioned publication. At the same time though, other magazines claim Butler was in his best spirits ever and was just as friendly as he’d been with Aniston on the red carpet with other ladies as well, while the former “Friends” star was at one point seen getting very close to newly-single Jake Gyllenhaal.

The bottom line to this is that the story of Aniston and Butler kissing and getting all lovey-dovey at the Golden Globes was seen coming ever since they set foot on the red carpet, as we were also telling you the other day. This is a couple that has generated plenty of media over the past months for the mere reason that they happen to star in the same film together, the above-mentioned romantic comedy / action movie “The Bounty Hunter.” There was little doubt as to the kind of rumors their posing together on the red carpet would sparkle.

So far, neither star has commented in any way their alleged make-out session at the 2010 Globes. Knowing Gerard Butler, fans should probably expect an engagement announcement, similar to the one he made this past July.
