14 DAY TRIAL // Epic Games has just deployed a brand new downloadable content pack for its Gears of War 3 shooter, in the form of the Fenix Rising one.
Gears of War 3 was among the best Xbox 360 exclusive games of last year and Epic Games, its developer, wants to keep players interested in it and its multiplayer mode with plenty of downloadable content.
We’ve already seen a few packs appear late last year and now the first add-on of 2012, Fenix Rising, has just been deployed onto Xbox Live.
First and foremost, the DLC now brings a mechanic similar to the Prestige one in Call of Duty games, meaning once you get to the highest level in the multiplayer, you have the option to reset your rank and gain exclusive rewards like colored wings on your emblem or custom weapon skins.
Besides this, five new maps are included in the DLC, in the form of Academy, Anvil, Depths, Escalation, and the Slab, which can be played across its Versus, Horde or Beast modes. New character skins are also brought forth by the add-on, including Recruit Clayton, Thrashball Cole - Limited Edition, Savage Marauder, and Savage Kantus – LE.
The Fenix Rising DLC for Gears of War 3 is now available for 800 MS Points, or for free, in case you got the Season Pass.
