Samsung already confirmed plans to have its new Samsung Galaxy Tab Android-based tablet PC available for purchase on the Australian market in the near future, but a few more info on the matter is now available.

It appears that the Android slate might make it to the market in the country on all wireless carriers in the country, and that the latest Allphones Buyer’s Guide already lists it as coming soon.

Unfortunately, no specific info on what “coming soon” means emerged for the time being, but rumor has it that November would be the actual release date.

In case there are some interested in getting the Android tablet PC from Allphones, they would have to wait a little longer before all the necessary info on price tags and the like are unveiled.

However, rumor has it that the slate would sport a price tag of $999 outright when brought to shelves in November, just as previously suggested.

According to the guys over at Android Australia, in case there are some unwilling to wait that much for the slate to arrive, they have the possibility to pre-order the device from MobiCity.

The price tag at which one can order it in advance here would be $989, while the first units are expected to arrive on October 16th.

However, those interested in benefiting from the offer that Allphones might have in place for the device should head over to the this registration page to sign up for updates on the matter.

In case there are some who do not know what the Samsung Galaxy Tab is all about, we should note that it boasts a 7-inch touchscreen display and that it runs under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.

The slate sports a 3-megapixel photo snapper on the back, complemented by a 1.3MP camera on the front for video calling, a 1GHz processor, and 16GB of internal memory, to which one can add up to 32GB of additional storage space via microSD cards.

A wide range of connectivity options were also included into the mix, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and 3G capabilities, as well as a 4,000 battery that can offer prolonged usage time.
