If you were skeptical about the availability of Galaxy S II on the market in the United States, you should know that new proof regarding its near availability has just emerged.

The Galaxy S II almost got a sign-up page on Samsung's US website, which clearly shows that the company is gearing up for its release stateside.

At the moment, the Galaxy S II page on Samsung's US website is not working, but it will certainly go live in no time.

After all, most of the latest rumors on the matter suggested that August will be the lucky time frame for enthusiasts.

Not to mention that Galaxy S II devices for various wireless carriers in the United States have already started to emerge on the web, and that some of them even received the necessary approvals from the FCC.

AT&T, Sprint and Verizon are the wireless carriers that have already been rumored to plan on adding the handset to their offerings, under the names of Attain, Within and Function, respectively.

Although no official announcement on the availability of these devices was made until now, we already had the chance to have a look at the Samsung Within for Sprint, as it made a photo appearance a while ago.

Moreover, a Galaxy S II device headed for AT&T was also spotted into the wild, featuring a sliding form factor and expected to be branded differently than the Galaxy S II family.

We should also note that Verizon was recently said to be the first carrier in the US to bring the smartphone to the market.

Rumor has it that August 12th might be the day when that happens, but, with nothing confirmed on the matter until now, we can only keep our fingers crossed for the rumor to pan out.

In the meantime, we should wait for Galaxy S II to actually get its own page on Samsung's website, where people will also have the possibility to sign up for receiving updates on its availability, so stay tuned. (via)
