Samsung Galaxy Nexus is already available for purchase in Europe, but Android enthusiasts living in North America will only be able to grab the Android 4.0 smartphone next month.

The phone was confirmed, more or less officially, for a December 8 release in the United States, via Verizon Wireless, and Canada, from Bell.

However, it looks like the Canadian retailer “The Source” plans to sell the Galaxy Nexus as well, and mentions on its webstore that the smartphone will be available for pre-order starting on December 2.

Customers will be able to pre-order Bell’s Galaxy Nexus from “The Source” for only $159.95 (120 EUR) with a new three-year agreement and data plan.

For the time being, there are no other details on the phone’s availability, so we should assume that the phone will be released according to the initial schedule.
