Starting with November 17th, mobile phone users in the UK will be able to purchase a new Google phone in their country, none other than the Galaxy Nexus smartphone unveiled to the world last month,, and it seems that wireless operator O2 will also add it to its offering.

The mobile phone carrier has already added the new device to its coming soon page, though there is no special mentioning made there on when it might go up for sale.

However, the company confirmed on its Google+ account that the mobile phone will become available for purchase on its airwaves starting with November 17th.

“Yes we'll be on sale on the 17th,” the wireless carrier notes on Google+, though the handset has only the coming soon tag on O2 UK's official website.

The new Galaxy Nexus handset comes from Samsung, the same as the almost one-year old Nexus S smartphone.

The latest Google phone was unveiled to the world with the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system on board, and with cutting-edge technology inside.

Galaxy Nexus sports a large 4.65-inch touchscreen display that can deliver an HD resolution, as well as a 1.2GHz application processor inside.

The mobile phone also comes with 32GB of internal memory, along with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, and with a front-facing camera for video calling.

Samsung also packed it with enhanced connectivity capabilities, as well as with NFC and other features. Not to mention that it also packs various apps, support for services, and a series of other software-enabled abilities.

We should also note that Galaxy Nexus is not the only Android-based mobile phone that O2 will be making available for its customers before the end of November.

A quick look at the carrier's coming soon page also shows devices such as HTC Sensation XL, Motorola RAZR, HTC Explorer, and the Samsung Galaxy Note.
