Just yesterday, the first speakers for this year's GC Developers Conference were announced, with Julian Eggebrecht of Factor 5 confirmed as the opening keynote. The following Conference in Europe will take place at the Leipziger Messe August 20-22, 2007. Below, you have the Internation speaker lineup, to give you a better picture of what's ahead in terms of video game announcements.

For example, when the last GCDC occurred, Peter Molyneux, President of Lionhead Studios, gave exciting insights into the developing process of next-gen-games. This year, the same man has planned to give a retrospective on the studio's development on classical games.

As for Factor 5's president and lead director/producer, Julian Eggebrecht, he gave his last appearance as a speaker at the GCDC back in 2005, an official report says. Currently, Eggebrecht is working on several next-gen titles, including one of the PS3's few exclusives, Liar. He also handles the Turrican line of games and of course, the popular Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series.

So, without further ado, this year's international speaker line-up will include:

Jason Manley, Massive Black (USA) Christopher Schmitz, 10Tacle Studios (Germany) Jennifer MacLean, Comcast Interactive Media (USA) Dr. Michael Wimmer, The University of Vienna (Austria) Alexander Fern?ndez, Streamline Studios (The Netherlands) Cindy Armstrong, Webzen (USA) Amir Taaki, Crystalspace (Finland) Jeff Strain, ArenaNet (USA) Vlad Ihora, Telia Sonora (Sweden) Barbara Lippe, Avaloop IT Solutions (The Netherlands) Pamela Kato The GamerX (USA) Uwe Nikl, Level 3 (United Kingdom) Matt Firor, Ultra Mega Games (USA) Konstantin Ewald, Osborne Clarke (Germany)

"This year's conference line-up is looking to be our best yet, with many more high-profile industry speakers being confirmed and a truly international group coming together from more than 20 countries," said Frank Sliwka, project director of GCDC. "Our goals of growing the conference and expanding the lectures and roundtables to incorporate speakers with differing perspectives and insights are on track and we look to deliver an exciting and informative program this year."

The list of speakers posted above is not yet complete. GCDC will announce additional speakers and keynotes in the following weeks. See this site if you want to register, or get more information.
