Fujifilm launched today the Fujinon XF 10-24mm F4 R OIS lens and it also announced the launch of a new series of camera grips for the X-Pro1 and X-E1/X-E2 digital cameras.

The new Fujifilm MHG-XPRO and MHG-XE hand grips are designed to give a better grip for your camera, providing at the same time enhanced operability and ease of use.

The two grips are built with the same high-quality materials used for the X Series cameras. The hand grip bases are milled from aluminum blocks and come with a unique design that fits perfectly every compatible camera, delivering a firm grip when needed.

In addition to that, the grips are designed to offer an additional 8mm clearance from the camera body, preventing unwanted interference with your tripod when using large-diameter lenses like the XF55-200mm or XF23mm.

Besides that, the Fujifilm MHG-XPRO and MHG-XE hand grips offer quick access to the camera's battery and memory card, allowing you to open the battery cover even when mounted on a tripod.

If you're using a tripod to capture long exposure scenes or video footage, these battery grips come with a tripod-mounting screw hole that will make the tripod rotation axis to be aligned with the optical axis of the lens. This will make panning and framing easy, without having to worry about rotation displacement.

Furthermore, the X-Pro1 and X-E1/X-E2 grips are also compatible with dovetail tripod mounts thanks to the 38mm-wide protrusion that acts as a quick-release dovetail plate located on the base of the grips.

For the moment, Fujifilm has not yet disclosed any other information regarding the price and availability of its MHG-XPRO and MHG-XE hand grips.
