South Park fans and Xbox 360 owners really have something to be talking about this Tuesday, as Comedy Central is releasing the first ever high definition episode of South Park on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the best part of this piece of news is that it's FREE for two whole weeks. Buying a new Xbox 360 console or the HD-DVD add-on drive at Best Buy will also get you the South Park "Good Times With Weapons" from 2004 (aka the South Park Ninjas episode).

Anyway, although this doesn't necessarily answer the question: is Microsoft finally going to throw in the rumored Xbox 360 v2 with HDMI?, it is good news for everyone eager to use XBLM more often, because new episodes are on their way, as you already might have guessed. And, even if the episode due for release this coming Tuesday is about two years old, if you're not a fan (which I considerably doubt) you should know it's a favorite, if not "THE favorite" episode of the South Park series.

You might have noticed that I used the words "new" and "episodes" earlier and that is because South Park's new season starts this Wednesday, thus there will be new episodes every other week available for you on XBLM. Is this responding to demand or what? Remember, the South Park Ninjas episode will be available for free on XBLM for two weeks, starting this Tuesday, in HD-DVD format.
