New, attractive offers from Macbuzzer

Macbuzzer, a company that profits off handing Mac software bundles at a discount, and, occasionally free licenses, has announced a new giveaway, for Twitter account holders. Cockpit, a flexible multi-application controller and automation center developed by green&slimy, can be obtained for free (full version) by simply following Macbuzzer on Twitter, and sending out a tweet. Those who don’t have a Twitter account can create one on the spot and obtain a free copy of Cockpit within minutes.

Interested in picking up on this offer? You should, Cockpit regularly costs $20, and it is a pretty handy piece of Mac software too. For starters, visit Macbuzzer here, and log into your Twitter account (or create a new one if you’re not registered yet).

Step two involves clicking on a button to visit Macbuzzer’s Twitter account. You must then click the "Follow" button on top of its Twitter page to follow the company, then click on a link to tweet about Macbuzzer. On your twitter account, you will need to click "Tweet" to send out the following message: “Just got Cockpit for Mac OS X completely free. Nothing paid! Awesome! There is also a bundle! Limited time only: http://www.macbuzzer.com.”

(Yes, there’s also an attractive bundle of nine applications currently going for just 20 bucks. With each passing day, the price increases by a dollar. Learn more here.)

Finally, those eager to grab Cockpit for free must enter their name and email address in the required fields (so Macbuzzer can send them their free Cockpit license). The "signup for newsletter" checkbox must be checked in order to get one’s free Cockpit license.

Two separate downloads need to be made: 1) the Cockpit license file, and 2) the actual Cockpit application file. "Drag the Cockpit icon in your Applications folder and drag the just downloaded license file onto the Cockpit icon to fully unlock Cockpit," the instructions go.

You can also download Cockpit from Softpedia, and activate using the license file obtained from Macbuzzer.

Two months ago, Softpedia reported that Dare to Be Creative and MacBuzzer had announced a promotion where participants were offered free copies of Rucksack, a powerful archiving tool for Mac OS X. The initiative celebrated the launch of Rucksack, a completely revamped version of the former iArchiver, developed by Dare to Be Creative. The process of getting a free serial number to use with Rucksack was identical to the one described above.
