Jon Gosselin, one half of the once extremely successful TLC reality series “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” is now being sued by the network for doing televised and media interviews in exchange of money when he was bound to it by an exclusivity contract. Former friend and occasional spokesperson Michael Lohan has already been summoned to testify against him, and now, according to TMZ, so has Kate Major, the woman with whom Gosselin reportedly had an affair.

Kate Major used to work once for the US tabloid Star. She met Gosselin on the eve of the divorce scandal in order to do a piece on him, but, soon enough, things between the two evolved to more than just a business partnership. They became romantically involved, Major has always claimed, despite the fact that he was already in another relationship with Hailey Glassman. Because of said claims, Major is now being asked to present herself in court in December to testify in the case.

“Former Star Magazine reporter Kate Major – who insisted she was romantically involved with Jon Gosselin – is next in line to testify in TLC’s breach of contract case against the famous reality dad. TLC’s lawyers have asked the court for permission to serve Kate with a subpoena, ordering her to testify along with other witnesses – including Michael Lohan and Hailey Glassman – in depositions scheduled for December 10. Kate reportedly quit her job at Star Magazine to pursue a relationship with Jon. Last we checked, the Octopop denied ever having a relationship with her.” TMZ writes.

As the paparazzi agency / celebrity gossip website also points out, Gosselin firmly denied ever having been in a relationship with Major, regardless of the many interviews she gave stating the contrary. They had never been together as a couple, he always insisted, but it seems TLC too chooses to believe differently, as it considers Major a potential witness to Gosselin’s breaching the exclusivity contract. Kate Major’s statement that he once promised to give her a job as his personal assistant might have had a say in the matter, suggesting she was well aware of the state of his business, it is being said.

“I didn’t look at it as a fling, I wouldn’t have gotten involved with him if I knew the outcome of the situation – ever. But I did, and Jon had promised me and told me a lot of things or else I wouldn’t have put myself in this situation… He told me a lot of things that he isn’t saying publicly that he said. It’s very hurtful because I have to deal with the repercussions of it alone…” Kate Major, also dubbed Kate 2.0 in the media because Gosselin’s soon to be ex is also named Kate, was complaining in an August interview.
