Jason Anderson, who is one of the people who worked on the initial installment of Fallout for Interplay, is now working with inXile Entertainment, as a creative director. It seems that he is working on a role playing game set to expand the borders of the genre, although there's no connection with the Fallout universe.

Jason Anderson was both a designer and a lead artist on Fallout and he also worked on Fallout 2 before parting ways with Interplay and joining Troika. There, he played an important role in creating Arcane: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, role playing games that are held in high regard by players even now, many years after their initial release. Before joining inXile Entertainment, Anderson worked with Chris Taylor back at Interplay on the Fallout MMO codenamed Project 113.

Brian Fargo, who founded InXile back in 2002, stated that “Jason has an extensive resume of creating amazing RPGs over the past two decades and we feel very lucky to have his talent directed to one of our upcoming projects. His leadership and vision will allow us to have a second development team focused on an epic game that will push the boundaries of RPGs”.

When asked by Gamasutra about how he liked Fallout 3, which was created by Bethesda, he said that “I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. In some ways I really felt they captured the Fallout feeling, and other things were somewhat different than what I expected from a Fallout game. That being said, I definitely understand that these things take on a life of their own. All in all, I felt it was really good. I liked it.” These are rare words coming from people who were involved with the original two Fallouts.
