The Football Manager fans all over the world who wanted to play the latest game on their Xbox 360 will have this opportunity really soon, since Sega has announced the launch of FM 2008 for the popular gaming console. The release date is set for the 28th of March and, boy, we're really happy to hear that!

The Xbox version will arrive fully updated for the new seasons, including transfers being made in the mid-season transfer window and it will bring all the fun from the PC version, just like any great and much appreciated game should. It also features revamped online play to the PC game via Xbox Live, permitting you to challenge friends to one-on-one matches and even host tournaments. And this probably means that it's the closest Xbox owners can get to the much expected Football Manager Online title. But it's still a great addition for all the football fans out there.

"Football Manager 2008 on Xbox 360 gives console gamers the chance to dive into the wonderful world of football management." commented Miles Jacobson, Studio Director of Sports Interactive. "With the same feature set to the PC version and various online modes, we hope that there is something for every Xbox 360 owner to get stuck into."

And indeed there is, since the FM series has so many hardcore and really loyal fans - and this game is also known as the best football manager game ever (sorry, Fifa Manager and LMA fans!). Now, beef aside, Football Manager 2008 for the Xbox consoles will be released on the 28th of March and it will surely make the wait for FM Live easier. Not to mention the amounts of happy Xbox owners! And if you'd like to know our opinion about the PC version of the game, check the Football Manager 2008 review.
