The game appears to be faster and more open than the current multiplayer

Actual in-game footage has been leaked for the Mass Effect: Team Assault first-person shooter projects, which was initially seen as a spin-off for the space-based science fiction series but ended up being integrated into Mass Effect 3 as a third-person multiplayer mode.

BioWare was eager to expand the Mass Effect universe and appeal to a wider range of gamers with Team Assault and the leaked footage shows a more expansive and quicker experience than the multiplayer mode that gamers can now play in the third game in the series.

In the Final Hours of Mass Effect 3 documentary, Team Assault was described as a game that would “create a standalone multiplayer experience in the Mass Effect universe that would mix the play styles of Unreal Tournament and Battlefield 1943 — and likely be released as a downloadable game.”

It’s clear from the footage that the Team Assault concept was never fully fleshed out, although BioWare has never commented on why it chose to scrap the first-person concept and go with third person for the final product.

The Mass Effect 3 multiplayer mode was initially seen simply as a way for developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts to extend the life of their game and get some hardcore fans to pay real-world money in order to get rare items and weapons that can make them more competitive.

I have been playing the game mode since Mass Effect 3 was launched and have discovered that it offers an engaging and well-balanced cooperative mode that manages to add a new dimension to the game.

Currently, BioWare is busy creating multiplayer events for the weekend in order to keep interest in Mass Effect 3 up.

For the coming weekend, gamers can promote their characters in order to get access to a range of special rewards packages.
