Perfect for the holiday season

TeleFlip, a US-based Internet and telecoms company, announced that this year's holidays bring email and cell phones closer than ever with the advanced service called flipMail. The service enables mobile users to send and receive emails from cell phones, by converting the emails from and into text messages. With flipMail, any cell phone owner, regardless of its handset's type, will be able to send and receive emails without needing to have an Internet enabled device.

It works like this: you write one or more text messages, then flipMail converts them into email format and sends the content to any email address you want. The recipient can view the mail or mails you've sent either from a browser or from another mobile phone that uses flipMail. The service doesn't need WAP, Java or BREW applications, it just uses your phone's network.

"The holidays can be stressful enough without worrying about missed emails", said Tony Davis, Chief Executive Officer at Teleflip. "FlipMail is the perfect way for friends and loved ones to stay connected throughout the season and all year long."

TeleFlip can prove to be great for several reasons. First of all, it's free, hence you will only pay the text messages that you need to send as emails. Second of all, it's completely spam-free, since the emails that can be received are controlled by the user. Moreover, you don't need new or special devices to use it, it is compatible with any existing mobile phone and any carrier and there's no software to install. Also, it can receive emails from any email client (such as Microsoft Outlook or AppleMail) and from any web-based email service (Gmail, Yahoo etc). The flipMail service only requires a registration on the TeleFlip website and then it can be used anytime, anywhere.
