A new iteration of Adobe Flash Player for devices running under Google's Android operating system is now available for download via the Android Market, the Flash Player 10.3.186.6.

The new software release comes along with a series of compatibility fixes into the mix, which should result in a better experience to all users.

One of the main improvements that the new Flash Player release brings along on Android involves optimizations for viewing complicated Flash animations.

At the same time, the new application version was meant to fix a series of issues with test inside Flash, and another one that would make Flash applications load correctly on some websites.

On Adobe's website, the release notes for the new Flash Player 10.3.186.6 for Android show the following:

- Calls to gotoAndPlay() and gotoAndStop() no longer fail in some Flash applications which load shared libraries (2943612). - TextField instances which specify a negative offset (x property contains a negative value) now correctly flow the text horizontally instead of vertically (2941680). - Improved performance in some cases when displaying complex animations (2941931). - Flash applications at certain websites (http://heylenmichel.de) now load correctly (2944081).

The experience that the new version of Flash can deliver is based on all of the features and enhancements that the Flash Player 10.3 brought along when compared to Flash Player 10.2.

There are optimizations on OMAP4 (Cortex A-9) based devices, along with a wide range of fixes for video crashes and failing Flash applications.

The latest flavor of Flash Player for Android is available for download today from Google's official storefront here.

The software is compatible with all devices running under the Android 2.2 or newer platform versions, and weighs in at around 4MB.

With Flash installed on smatphones, users can enjoy the full web while on the go, for a great web browsing experience even on the smaller screens that mobile phones have.
