14 DAY TRIAL // After yesterday's announcement that the final bits of the Mozilla Firefox 8.0 web browser reached the default software repositories of Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot), we are now announcing its availability on the Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) release.
All Ubuntu 11.04 users can now officially install the new Mozilla Firefox 8.0 web browser by running the Update Manager app from the Settings icon situated at the end of the Unity panel.
Mozilla Firefox 8.0 brings features such as integrated Twitter search, tabs can now be loaded on demand (greatly improving start-up time), an one-time add-on selection dialog to easily manage your installed extensions, HTML5 context menus support, better memory performance, insertAdjacentHTML support, better CSS hyphen support, better WebSocket support and CORS support.
Keep in mind that after the upgrade, you have to restart any running instances of Firefox. After it restarts, Firefox will pop-up an one-time add-on selection dialog with third party add-ons disabled by default. Therefore, you'll have to manually enable all the add-ons you want to use.
