Canadian carrier Fido has added a couple of new phones to its lineup, namely the Nokia E62, a phone dedicated to business users and the Z710i from Sony Ericsson.

Fido customers that were up until now expecting some form of QWERTY-equipped device, will be getting the UMTS-less and WiFi-less version, rather than the actual E61. Nonetheless, the Nokia E62 comes with a bunch of useful and interesting features including a 240 x 320 256k color display, push e-mail, USB Mass Storage Mode, Quick Office for editing or viewing various files and Bluetooth for connectivity.

It is powered by a processor running at 235MHz, includes 32MB RAM and 160MB Flash and also features a MicroSD card slot, enabling the users to store a larger number of files. The phone was pretty appreciated in USA, so chances are many Fido customers will want one as well.

The ones that aren't all that interested in QWERTY keyboards on handsets, but are still looking for a mobile that they can use at work, will also have an option, the Sony Ericsson Z710i. The mid-level clamshell sports a 2 megapixel camera and was designed to appeal to the hard working person that is looking for a mobile phone to fit in well for both business and private life. It includes several business dedicated features like push email support, RSS feeds, syncronization with PC and Access NetFront full HTML browser, as well as fun features including the 2 megapixel camera, MMS support, Bluetooth for connectivity with A2DP support, MP3 Player and FM Radio.

Both phones are now available, with the Nokia E62 being sold for $200 CDN (around $170) on a three-year contract and the Z710i for $75 CDN (around $64) on the same three-year contract.
