Press release describes a hack tool that costs money to use

A company addressing customers under the name 'The Fast Unlock iPhone Team' are advertising an ‘untethered’ jailbreak and unlock tool for iDevice owners under several firmware versions.

I have reason to believe that FastRa1n (the product in question) is a repackaged version of one of the free hacking utilities offered by the likes of Geohot, the iPhoneDev-Team, and Chronic-Dev.

For example, a screenshot accompanying the press release (that's right, press release) shows the alleged user interface of the program bearing the Geohot’s Limera1n icon. The app costs 25 bucks (or just under 20 Euros), and it promises to jailbreak and unlock almost any iPhone, iPod touch and iPad running the latest iOS versions.

I’m not saying FastUnlockiPhone.com isn’t legit, but I’ve heard of many companies being caught grabbing freely available jailbreak tools and selling them under a different name, thus not conducting what can be categorized as legitimate business.

If that's happened to you, perhaps you'd like to share your story in the comments.
