Facebook for Android has just received a minor update that brings a few bugs fixes, as well as several improvements. The popular social network application makes it easier for Android handsets owners to stay connected with friends.

In the recent 1.5.2 update, the developer has added the ability to upload photos to their friend’s Walls or to Groups. The new update also solves an issue with photos not uploading with the correct orientation.

Facebook for Android allows users to share status updates directly from home screen, chat with friends or check out the scheduled Events and News Feeds.

Users will not only be able to check out their friends' walls and user info, but they also check into Places for the right Deals and even share them.

The social networking solution features improved landscape mode and improved security while using SSL.

The full changelog of version 1.5.2 is detailed below:

- Ability to upload photos to friend's Walls; - Upload photos to Groups; - Photos will always upload with the correct orientation; - Improvements to landscape mode; - Improved security using SSL; - Various bug fixes.

Facebook can also be accessed via the phone's browser, but with the recent updates the dedicated client offers an improved experience to users, as well as quicker and easier access to its features.

As a reminder, the previous version of the application introduced a new feature, Push notifications, that is only supported for smartphones running Android 2.2 Froyo or later.

In addition, Deals (access to savings, free offers and special deals from nearby businesses) and Chat (chat with Facebook friends right from the Android phone) features have also been made available.

However, Facebook for Android 1.5.2 is compatible with all devices running Android 1.5 or later and is available as a free download from Android Market.
