A W-series mobile phone for the U.S.

Sony Ericsson has been all about rumors lately, and everyone has been wondering what they are up to and what their new phones are going to look like or what features they will pack.

The Ai and Li have already been talked about several times and haven't really impressed anyone. Now it's the W200a lower-end phone's turn to be in the spotlight. Apparently, the W200a has hit the FCC, with no official information on whether it has been approved or not. But more information is bound to come out soon and a photo with the phone's front would also be nice.

Although you can only see the back of the phone in this photo, it's better to see something than nothing at all and it helps a lot when trying to figure out what features this mobile phone will be packing. For instance, it is easy to spot the camera on the phone's back, and it's also safe to say that being a W-series phone means that it will sport an Mp3 player and Walkman software as usual.

A memory expansion card slot is also probably included and most Sony Ericsson Walkman phones released lately have also included an FM Radio. So, expect something similar to the W300 as features but with different looks.

The 'a' from W200a most likely stands for the U.S-friendly version and if this is the case it will most likely be a tri-band GSM phone 850/1800/1900.

Chances are that soon enough there will be more information available on the bright-orange candybar, and then, hopefully, we will also be able to see what it actually looks like from the front.
