The Federal Communications Commission has brought the guys that reside stateside another gift for the end of the year holidays. They just gave their approval for the launch of a Philips mobile phone that comes in a clamshell form factor and with a pretty nice RAZR look-a-like design.

The phone will be one of the few Philips devices available on the US market so if you fancy this brand, you will be delighted to find out about this release. Don't worry, you won't get excited in vain because this is a cellphone with a lot of goodies to offer its future users.

It is a GSM enabled mobile phone that is surely going to be on the shopping list of the US multimedia maniacs due to its integrated MP3 player with support for playlists. Concerned about the storage space for all your favorite songs, are you? It is not the case considering this handset will also provide you with an easy way to expand internal memory with the help of a memory expansion card slot.

The phone also features an internal color display, a midget sized monochrome one on the outside, a digital camera of some sort, wireless Bluetooth connectivity (hopefully with support for A2DP stereo technology so you won't be forced to listen music on some moronic wired out headset), a "Lady's Planner" pre-installed software and, surprise surprise, Chinese language support.

Could this be a hint that the carriers going to release it are targeting the Chinese communities in the United States? We're going to find out very soon.

I don't have any info about its supposed release date, about the carrier that will launch it or its store price. How should I if no one knows even this handset's name? Have patience like I do and when some new info about this mysterious handset comes around, you will get to be the first to know.
