14 DAY TRIAL // 21-year-old actress Evan Rachel Wood has just confirmed the rumor that has been making the rounds since February, namely that she and shock rocker Marilyn Manson are an item again. The confirmation comes, according to Fox News, in the latest issue of GQ magazine, where Wood is also featured in a daring photo shoot.
According to the aforementioned media outlet, “The Wrestler” star confirms that she and Manson are back on, despite the age gap that was reportedly the cause of all their problems the first time around. However, she does not say when and how that came to happen, as neither does she mention whether they have joint plans for the future, such as moving in together or possibly marriage.
What Wood does say, though, is that she and Mickey Rourke were never romantically involved despite what the tabloid media might have written about them in the past and despite that this would not be the first denial that the actress issues. According to her, she and Rourke, whom she met on the set of the critically acclaimed “The Wrestler,” had a very special friendship, which is why seeing it dragged through the mud in the media is painful to her. “There was no truth to it, and it was so annoying. The friendship was intimate and nice, and this makes it weird.” Wood says of the rumor that first emerged in January.
However, one month or so later from the moment speculation about her dating Rourke emerged, another rumor also had it that she and Manson had gotten together again. PageSix spies spotted the rocker leaving Wood’s hotel room in the early hours of morning, after spending the after-Oscars night there. At the time, neither publicist was available for comment.
Oddly enough, in March, Dita Von Teese, Manson’s former wife, was also speaking to the media, revealing that the rocker had made contact with her and was perhaps looking to reconcile with her. “He’s been in touch a little. The apologies come, and he was like, ‘I made a big mistake.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I know. Go ahead and say what you need to say to feel better and to sleep at night’.” Dita also said at the time.
