Andrei Dumitrescu: I am handling the affairs of the Games section alone this week, which means that my gaming time for the weekend will be the sole focus of this article and I am happy to say that my main game for the coming weekend and more will be The Witcher 2.

The game was developed by CD Projekt RED, a development team from Poland, and I can safely say that the game is significantly better than the original in all respects, managing to marry a very distinctive art style, nice graphics with a complex story and a revamped battle system.

The Witcher was noticed in the role-playing game genre because of how it handled choice and dialog and the sequel manages to throw in some very impressive moments in the Prologue and the first chapter.

Gamers who are going into The Witcher 2 also need to make sure that they are ready for a challenging game when it comes to the battles.

One-on-one combat is pretty easy and feels more fluid than in the original, but once more than two or three enemies attack at once it's pretty hard to keep up with them.

Parrying and diving out of the way is crucial for a good fight.

When slaying both men and monsters in The Witcher 2 gets a bit tiring, I plan to watch Il Giro, the first of the Grand Tours for this year, and this means that I will also fire up my old copy of Pro Cycling Manager 2010, with a custom database of riders reflecting the 2011 changes, and play a bit, trying to win some races with my Pro Continental team.

And I also plan to continue pushing through the content in Dragon Age: Legends, tackling the new tougher challenges that the EA2D developers have recently crafted, and might also play a little more of the hack and slash oriented Remix 01 for the game.
