Andrei Dumitrescu: December is here and thankfully there's a bit of breathing room for all the gamers who are following the latest releases.

I am still playing Gran Turismo 5, planning to do a bit of multiplayer over the weekend and take some of the cool cars out for a spin, but there's also a chance to look back and get some time with older titles.

I currently plan to redownload and play the first Witcher, which, to my shame, I have never completed.

The new game in the series, which has been confirmed as coming in May 2011 by the developers at CDP Projekt, looks spectacular and I never got to experience the Enhanced Director's Cut of the initial titles, so I will be spending some time in the company of Geralt and his bleak fantasy world.

And I also plan to go back and engage in some Dawn Of War II, playing again through the campaign in preparation of the launch of Retribution during 2011 and maybe even getting into some multiplayer, although I have a feeling I might be on the receiving end of some series beatings at first.

Andrei Dobra: This weekend I'll most likely be finishing up Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit's last few missions, as well as indulge in some more quality time with BioWare's Mass Effect 1.

In Hot Pursuit, I'm going to try and get gold medals on all of the racer events.

I've already completed the task with the cop campaign, but the racer events are a bit more tricky than the ones for the boys in blue.

Still, thanks to all the powerful cars Criterion Games put into Hot Pursuit, I'll have more than enough combinations to try until I find the winning one and get gold on all the events.

After that, I'll be indulging in another playthrough of the first Mass Effect, as I want to try out a few new tactics and then progress to the storyline of Mass Effect 2.

This time I chose a soldier class, with a female character, and balance out Paragon and Renegade choices in order to create a character I would see in humanity's future.
